Arnold Judas Rimmer was killed by a radiation
leak along with the rest of the crew of Red Dwarf. The ship's
computer brought him back as a hologram to be a companion to the Lister. |

success outside of RED DWARF fame, including the highly successful THE
BRITTAS EMPIRE, and the PRINCE AMONG MEN. Barrie recently starred in
Hollywood blockbuster TOMB RAIDER. |
LISTER
(Craig Charles)

David Lister was in stasis when the crew of Red
Dwarf was wiped out by radiation. He had been placed in stasis for
smuggling a pet cat on board. When he is brought out of stasis he
finds that he is the last human in the universe, accompanied by a
hologram, and the evolved descendant of his pet cat. |
| Craig Charles is now well
known outside of his RED DWARF character, for his dry witted poetry,
appearances in THE GOVERNOR and (soon to be) in EASTENDERS. Charles
is also the presenter of the hit series ROBOT WARS. |
CAT
(Danny John-Jules)

The Cat - Felis Sapien - has no other name, and
doesn't need it. He descends from Lister's pet cat, and is proud of
it. Growing up on Red Dwarf, Cat has becoming one of the vainest characters
on TV. |
| Danny John-Jules, having
appeared in Tony Robinson's hit Children show MAID MARION & HER MERRY
MEN, is now finding fame in America - aside from RED DWARF - starring in
BLADE 2, starring Wesley Snipes. |
KRYTEN
(Robert Llewellyn)

Kryten first showed up when the Red Dwarf crew
discovered him still attending to his three mistresses long after their
death. With nothing else to do in life he joins to crew, and serves
his new beloved master, Mr.Lister. |
| Robert Llewellyn was the
only one of the RED DWARF actors to appear in the doomed US pilot, as
Kryten naturally. Llewellyn also presents SCRAPHEAP CHALLENGE, and
hosts the videos of RED DWARF 'SMEG UPS'. |
KOCHANSKI
(Chloe Annett)
Seasons 7 & 8 |

Kristine Kochanski was the love of Lister's
life... but she dropped him... and then was killed along with the rest of
the Red Dwarf crew. However, when the crew find a rip in space they
encounter an 'alternative' Kochanksi, who survived. She ended up,
reluctantly, joining the misfits. |
| Chloe Annett hasn't done
much that we know of other than RED DWARF. She did however play
alongside former EASTENDERS star Michael French in the BBC sci-fi series
CRIME TRAVELLER. |
HOLLISTER
(Mac McDonald) |

Captain Frank Hollister was killed along with
the rest of his crew due to the radiation leak aboard Red Dwarf.
However, when nano-bots remade Red Dwarf, along with it's crew, Hollister
was back, and promtly put Lister et al in the brig... |

HOLLY
(Norman Lovett & Hatty Hayridge)

| Holly is the Red Dwarf's
computer... technically it's 'voice'. After meeting a mirror
universe of himself... Holly fell in love with his opposite and pasted her
face onto his own. Years later, Lister and the crew lost Red Dwarf
and when they finally found him (in a dirty laundry basket), the crew had
been revived, and Holly had his old face back again.

ACE
(Chris Barrie)
An Alternative version of our Rimmer, Ace was held back a
year at school, a move that made him tougher, and generally a better,
nicer person. Loved by everyone, Ace was known for his catchphrase -
'Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast'. |
DUANE
(Danny John-Jules)
When the crew were fooled into thinking that Red Dwarf was
just a game they had been playing for five years - badly - the Cat's
'nightmare' was that his real self was a sad, unfashionable gimp...and his
persona - Duane Dibbly - became a fan favourite. |
- The film will star all the original cast members, plus a few
others.
- Chris Barrie (Rimmer), Craig Charles (Lister), Danny
John-Jules (Cat), Norman Lovett (Holly), Robert Llewelyn (Kryten), Chloe Annett
(Kochanski) all star.
- Mac McDonald joins the cast as a regular, playing his
character from seasons 1 and 8, Captain Frank Hollister. Although this is
in reference to the movie, presumably it means for Red Dwarf IX too.
