After the smash hit film 'Ghostbusters' (starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Sigorney Weaver), the animated series took over where the movie left of, and became a firm favourite with kids everywhere. The basic premise was that The Ghostbusters would be on call - for a price - to get rid of any unfriendly spooks that the paying customer may have. Not everything goes smoothly... but then, it wouldn't would it ?!
Characters
Dressed in a brown uniform, the womanising Venkman is the so-called
leader of The Ghostbuster. Never mind that he's lazy, never has his
attention on the job... would rather be eating....
The scientist, inventor of the equipment that the Ghostbuster use, Egon
wears the green uniform, with red glasses. He is uncomfortable with the
admiration that Janine gives him.
The excitable one dressed in tan. Ray isn't perhaps as fit as the
others, but he is always eager and knows his stuff about ghosts.
The fourth member of the group -dressed in blue - he arrived when they
applied for a new member.
The secretary for The Ghostbusters. Never in on the action - not
even with her true love Egon. She is often left at the Ghostbuster's HQ
with Slimer.
A 'good' green ghost that gets on really well with both Ray and
Janine. He also likes Peter, but Peter doesn't feel quite the same way (on
the surface at least). Slimer is usually found eating out the bin.
Who could forget the giant mallow man?! In the movie he was the
kind of the 'Big Bad' , but in the animated series he was let out on occasion to
help them against worse foes.
